Thalassia is an Echinomeran, a type of demon with Echinoderm-like qualities. She is tough, smart, confident and heroic, but also rather stubbern and aloof at times, not willing to accept a lot of help. She's the youngest of a trio, but also the most mature and purportedly doesn't have a good relationship with them. Thal has always been somewhat of a loner; not having many friends growing up and preferring time to her studies. She is a Sergeant of the W.R.R. (Wasteland Recovery & Rescue): a policing, rescue and service organization mixed with humans and demons that established itself not long after the formation of Desolearth. Thalassia is one of several combat-trained agents of her division; located in the desert town of Fire Pit. She is extremely skilled with hand-to-hand combat, firearm usage, and is a skilled mechanic. As an Echinomeran, Thalassia also has sharp-retractile spines on her arms that secrete a paralyzing venom. Her kind also, shares with the Scarletythe, the ability to self heal and regenerate lost limbs over time. Using these natural abilities of hers however is energy costing and can lower life expectancies of Echinomerans, so this is better to avoid. One day Thalassia, during a bust of a Varanus Pyro hideout, is captured. Later, she is saved by Needles, who is taken in by her fellow officers soon after showing up for questioning. After Needles is placed under house arrest and surveillance due to his sudden appearance, Thal volunteers to be the one to watch him, though rather reluctantly because of her distant personality. One day, when she gets a new lead on the potentially criminal robotics millionaire Albox, she teams up with Needles to investigate one of his robot compounds; intending to bring Albox down and help clear Needles' name. However, as she would soon find out, that was going to be a much more difficult task than either one of them imagined...
